My view from the balcony today is through the window we have in our roll down ‘toldos’ or canvass drop down front. It’s tipping it down with occasional thunder. This is a country that needs rain and so this is very welcome. Watching the UK news last night it appears that the UK could do with some of this. Whilst most of us would probably wish to have the wonderful, warm sun every day, it is part of life that we need the rain. The orange trees across the way will need this if there is to be any fruit next year. Farmers need this if there is to be any fruit crop later in the year.
It is probable that our lives need times of sunshine and of rain as well. Those happy times and those times when the storms of life trouble us. We have some friends at the moment going through the storms and I would bet most of you know someone in that position too. You may even be going through that yourself. These are times to be there for them, to support and encourage and, if you believe, to pray, for the day will surely come when the storms will cease.
