A wonderful place to be amongst the busy packed town square as the folk of the town celebrate in style, the Risen Christ. The atmosphere, the expectation, the wonder in children’s faces. Marvellous.
At this moment I want to be Zachhaeus and up a tree. I’m not tall enough to get all that I want, but then Jesus says ‘come down, I want to meet you at your place’.
Wherever you are, up or down, forget the trappings of religion, forget the piety, forget the rituals. Jesus wants to meet you where you are, whatever you’re feeling, no matter what your view of Him is, and meet you in your place.
